SPIRITUAL WELLNESS
We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. ~Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
ENHANCE SPIRITUAL AWARENESS
RITUAL
Meditation Room: Create a quiet, peaceful space, that is warm and welcoming.
—Some items to include: meditation cushion, candles/rock salt lamp, crystals, mala beads, smudging tools, sacred objects, etc.
Anointing Oil: Anointing is the ritual act of applying aromatic oil to a persons head or entire body. Scented oils are used as perfumes and sharing them is an act of hospitality.
—Apply oil of choice to third-eye and envision a pure white light around your auric field. [Frankincense is a favorite of mine for meditation. It is a very ancient oil and has been used in spiritual practice for centuries.]
Diffuse: Diffusing essential oils is a lovely way to relax, and create an aroma-filled atmosphere of peace and harmony.
—Invite elevated spiritual experiences every day by diffusing these oils in your home. Diffuse 3 drops of Sacred Sandalwood, 2 drops Neroli and 2 drops of Cypress.
Roller Perfume: In a 10ml roller bottle, add 30 drops of your favorite essential oil (blend), fill the rest of the bottle with carrier oil, then swirl and apply.
—Roll on temples, third eye and behind the ears. Massage oil in the palm of your hand, then cup your hands and take three deep breaths before meditation
MY FAVORITES
- FRANKINCENSE: It is valued for its powerful aroma and has been burned in sacred places and religious rituals for centuries. The Hebrew word for Frankincense is levonah. Used in the Bible 22 times, making it one of the most recognized materials in scripture.
- PALO SANTO: Good spirits are attracted by the vibration of this Holy Wood. It has been used for centuries by shamans in ritual prayer and ceremonies. It is believed to cleanse your Aura from negative energy.
- MYRRH: Revered by Egyptians. The wealthy wore small pouches of Myrrh pellets around their necks for its enticing perfume. It promotes the feeling of being grounded, and encourages the feeling of spiritual awakening.
- SANDALWOOD: Deepens connection to spirit and promotes a sense of relaxation. Its distinctly warm and woodsy aroma is the perfect complement to meditation.
- SAGE: Sage was highly valued in both the ancient Greek and Roman societies, which considered it to be sacred. It was believed that Sage had a positive influence on the individual’s inner lifeforce, thus it was used in spiritual practices to not only increase mystical mindfulness but to also cleanse the mind.
FRANKINCENSE RESIN BURNER: Use the whispering essences from Young Living’s Resin Burner to transport yourself to the ancient lands of Egypt.
Temples of ancient Egypt were known to use fragrances in their rituals. Boswellia Sacra’s resin was precious like gold in Ancient Egypt. It was sacred to Ra, the God of Sun and source of all Life.
—Simply place a few pieces of resin on the burner and take in the aromatic spirit of the desert. The resin’s vapor will deepen your meditation and invite a sacred atmosphere.
